What happens next

From enquiry to the correct translation route

Your document and submission details provide the information needed to determine the appropriate service before translation work begins.

01

Your request is reviewed

The team checks the document, language pair, intended recipient, certification instructions and deadline.

02

The suitable service is identified

You can be guided towards certified, UKVI, notarised, apostille, sworn, urgent or specialist translation where appropriate.

03

The next steps are confirmed

The service route, expected turnaround, delivery format and other relevant order details can then be explained.

Before contacting us

Four details that prevent avoidable delays

A complete initial enquiry reduces the need for follow-up questions and helps the team understand the document’s actual submission requirements.

01 — DOCUMENT

Send every relevant page

Include reverse sides, attachments, stamps, seals, signatures and readable handwritten information where they form part of the document.

02 — LANGUAGE

Confirm both languages

State the language currently used in the document and the language required for the completed translation.

03 — DESTINATION

Name the receiving authority

Explain whether the translation is for UKVI, a solicitor, court, university, embassy, employer or another organisation.

04 — DEADLINE

Provide the exact required date

An exact deadline allows standard or express availability to be assessed more accurately than a general request for urgent work.

What information should I include in my enquiry?

Include the source and target languages, receiving organisation, intended use, exact deadline, required delivery format and any written certification instructions. Attach a complete readable copy of the document where possible.

Which file types can I upload?

The current contact form accepts PDF, JPG, PNG and DOC files with a listed maximum upload size of 10MB.

Should I use the contact form or the online order page?

Use the contact form when you need guidance or have a question before proceeding. Use the online order page when you are ready to submit the document and begin the ordering process.

Can I send my document directly by email?

Yes. Documents and enquiry details can be sent to hello@officialtranslationservice.co.uk. Include the language, receiving authority and deadline in the message.

Do I need to know which translation service I require?

No. Explain where the document will be submitted and attach any instructions from the receiving organisation. The information can be reviewed to help identify the relevant translation route.

Can I ask about an urgent translation?

Yes. Include the exact required date, document and language pair. Express availability depends on the content, length, certification route and time of submission.

Should I send both sides of my document?

Send both sides whenever the reverse contains text, stamps, endorsements, reference numbers or other information forming part of the official document.

Can I request a printed certified copy?

Printed hard copies are available on request. State this in the enquiry so the required delivery format can be considered before the order is confirmed.
